Cricut

My lovely kind husband has just bought me a Cricut machine. After a little bit of practice, here are 2 cards that I managed to make. I must say I'm quite pleased with them for my first attempt.

Texas Holiday

This layout is of some of the animals at Dallas Fort Worth Zoo. They all look alot cooler than we did that day........it was so hot and so humid, we just dripped all day.

Birthday

This layout is from our holiday visiting family in Texas last year. Whilst we were there both myself and Aimee celebrated our birthdays. This is Aimee's birthday at the Rainforest Cafe in Fort Worth. The dessert was huge and very delicious.

Scrapbook challenge

This week, I've cheated. I'm using this layout for both the My Time to Craft challenge and for Lesley's monthly scrapbook challenge on Craft Swap Forum.

Lesley's challenge was to use a plain background, one photo, journalling in your own handwriting and to use rubber stamping somewhere.

The My Time to Craft Challenge is dark hair, which is what the monkey and myself have.......I hope you can tell which is which.

Sunday Stampers Challenge

This week the challenge set is cats. This is the first time I've had a go, and although it's not great, I've tried.

What a weekend

I've had such a nightmare of a weekend. We spent Friday and Saturday night at A & E with my daughter. Unfortunately a fun game and a tickling competition turned into disaster with Aimee falling off the bed with me on top of her resulting in a chipped bone to the elbow. Still, as you can see, she's quite happy with it.

Annual Duck Race

Every year we have an annual duck race in our village. We all purchase a duck and then 500 rubber ducks are set free up the river to travel about half a mile to the weir. They all tumble over the weir, pop up again eventually and 'race' to the finish line. It took well over 2 hours this year as the current was so slow, but it's been a beautiful day and so many villagers turned out for it.

Meet Emma

This is the new addition to our family, the gorgeous Emma.

When I grow up.....

And another .......................this is of my daughter Aimee, a few years ago, playing nurse in the garden with one of her dolls.

Snow much fun

As it's National Scrapbooking Day today, here is another page I've just completed. Once again it's from Easter Sunday, or Easter Snowday as it was renamed in our house.
