Cute card

Managed one more card today. It was too hot in my craft room to do anymore. I love this owl stamp and I based this card on one I found in a recent card making magazine.

Xmas in July

Today I've made my first Christmas card. For this one I've used a Tim Holtz stamp which is gorgeous and I've never used it before. I can see lots more variations of this card coming.

George

I did manage one more layout this week...returning to my simple layout. This is George, and he belongs to my Brother & Sister in law who live in Texas. We met George when we visited them last summer.

In the pink

I haven't managed alot of crafting over the last week as I've been in alot of pain with my back. But I have managed a little scrapbooking.

I sorted through some photos that my Mum gave me and found this lovely piccie of my Daughter standing near the lillies in my parents garden. Lillies are my favourite flowers and these just look so big. I have also moved out of my comfort zone with this layout and added a few more embellishments, so it's not quite the 'simple' layout I'm used too.

An altered art item

I recently got some PIF from a friend of mine Nicky. In my package was one of those little pcoket games where you have to try and get the balls into the holes. I wondered what on earth I was going to do with it and decided to make a miniature picture frame. I took it apart, cut a piece of card using the original insert as a template, stamped on the card and added tiny photos, which come from the index card when you receive your digital photos. It make a great little picture. Here are the photos of the before and after.

Scrapbook challenge on CSF

Lesley has set another great challenge this month over on the Craft Swap Forum. This month's rules are one photo, one colour theme, stitching and make some embellishments.

I have used my favourite photo of my daughter which was taken a few years ago while on holiday in Turkey. I've used a main colour theme of brown/cream and cut an arrow using my Cricut and hand doodled stitching around it in gold.

MTTC - Seasons

This weeks My Time to Craft Challenge is Seasons. I have made 2 atc's showing my favourite seasons....Summer and Autumn.

Bon Voyage

Just a simple card that a friend had asked for as a family in our village are emigrating to Australia next month.

Teacher Cards

I have made 4 Teacher cards today to sy thank you. My Daughter is leaving Primary School in a couple of weeks time and moving onto 'big' school, so there are alot of Teachers to thank. All the writin and pictures are hand doodled and the apples have been cut using my trusty Cricut.

***PIF- Pass it Forward***

I would like to say a big thank you to Nic for the lovely little package I received on Friday from her.......big hugs.

Just to explain a little, the first three people to leave a comment on my blog offering the PIF, stating their intention to join the fun, will get a surprise package from me. In return, you must agree to post a PIF message on your blog, and do the same for the first three people who comment on yours.

It's a great random act of kindness, so go ahead.
