UTEE flowers

I invested in a melt pot about a year ago on one of my trips to Ally Pally, but never really been that adventurous to try different things.  At Ally Pally this year the lovely Marion Emberson from Sugar and Spice Crafts was demonstrating her beautiful flower moulds.  I took the plunge and invested in some.  This was the result.

Smash Book beginnings

One of my new interests is Smash Books.  I now have a pink one and the blue retro one and I bought the red doodle smash book for Aimee on my recent visit to Ally Pally.  Here is a little look into some of the pages I have completed.

Spending time crafting with Aimee today, we decided we could alter wooden clothes pegs to use in our Smash books.  Using Washi tape and a few adhesive gems and buttons, it's such a simple and quick way to transform the humble peg.

Historic Sunday

We belong to the National Trust, but don't use it half as much as we should do.  We decided to visit Melford Hall today in Long Melford, just a short distance from home.  The house was fascinating and had previously been visited by Beatrix Potter who was a cousing of the Parker family that lived there.  In the gatehouse a gentleman was demonstrating water colour painting of Beatrix Potter characters.  We watched him painting Jemima Puddleduck and hehn purchased his picture.  I wish I could have a talent like that.

Ally Pally

Yesterday was the Big Stamp & Scrapbooking show at Alexandra Palace.  I'm a regular visitor to these shows and I love them.  As you can see from the piccies I spent a few pennies.....but I'm worth it lol.  One of my new interests is the Smash Book.  I have the pink one which I have started, but thought I would treat myself to the blue one and Aimee has got the red one.  We can't wait to get started!!
